I am delighted to be able to report that the Evening Standard has joined forces with the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association and various other London cab operators including Computer Cabs and Hailo to partner and support the Heroes Welcome in London initiative. The London scheme is open to all the capitals business operators, however our primary aim is to recruit as many London Black Cab drivers as possible. (I gave an impromptu presentation to Cab drivers at the Great Suffolk Street, Cabbieshack rest area and had a 100 % take up rate, so good on them!) London Sticker production has been sponsored by, Peter Howell Associates, Nick Thomas of QDOS Entertainment / HQ Theatres and the Birkett Smith Family. For those who are waiting, we are due to receive a re-stock of London stickers next week.

I thought you might like to know that I have just received a letter from the RT Hon Andrew Robathan MP, Minister for The Armed Forces, thanking members for their efforts in support of the Armed Forces and also the part they play in upholding the tenants of the Military and Community Covenants.

So it just leaves me to say thank you for your continued support and... well... onwards and upwards we go...

Some of the original Heroes Welcome schemes are now getting on for 4 years old and may require a little attention and or new stickers etc. We are finding more an more that local firms are happy to help with sponsoring sticker printing and the artwork for the modified Tri Service sticker is now available from the website downloads section. As always it is free to use, as is everything to found on our open resource website. If you are really struggling to find a sponsor then please give me a call and we can see what we can do.

Whilst we realise that times are hard and money is short, please remember that our service personnel are still out there doing their jobs and really do appreciate a simple expression of support .
